Woodworking Curved Joints






Mortis and tenon joints have been used for a long time, it is an old form of wood jointing. the purpose of this type of jointing is to fit one board inside of a second board. the mortise is a small hole cut into the side of a board, while the tenon is a piece which sticks out on the end of a second board.. This project started out with wanting to make a fence for the back of one of these computer desks to keep our baby from pulling the speakers and other stuff off the back.. the corners on the desk top are rounded so i wanted the fence to also be rounded.. Joint image description butt joint: the end of a piece of wood is butted against another piece of wood. this is the simplest and weakest joint. of those, there is the a) t-butt, b) end-to-end butt, c) t-lap d) miter butt and e) edge-to-edge butt..
